high protein, low carb bar

I'm looking for the best tasting high protein, low carb bar that you have tried. Any ideas?

I generally try to eat mostly whole foods (other than my nightly frozen yogurt and sugar-free gum addiction). But on days where I don't track until the evening, I sometimes need a burst of protein relatively late at night to balance out my macros. Sometimes I have leftover chicken or turkey in the fridge, but I would love to have some high protein, low carb bars around for the times that I don't.

Thanks!

I really love zone perfect chocolate caramel cluster. 25g of carbs (3g fiber) and 14g of protein.

Pure Protein bars are my choice. Most of the flavors taste pretty good, and they have 32gms of protein and 25gms of carbs (4gms sugar).

Quest Bars are ok if you microwave them for about 10 seconds. Chocolate brownie i find to be passable.
DO NOT get the cravings they are atrocious.

  • I second Pure Protein bars! I eat a smaller size than the the poster above and they average (depending on the flavour) 180 calories, 21g protein, 17g carbohydrates, 2g sugar. And they don't taste bad for protein bars either.

Anyone else want to reply I am also looking for the best bars.

I did try the Pure Protein large Strawberry Shortcake bar today. It was pretty good. It only has 4 grams of sugar, but has 10 grams of SUGAR ALCOHOL.

I have never noticed sugar alcohol as an ingredient in anything I eat before. What is it and is it bad for you? Is it just a tricky way for them to market low sugar counts?
