There are many variable that go into this. Intensity, age, nutrition, recovery. You are looking for an simple answer to a complicated question. If you are fatigued and not recovering despite good nutrition and sleep, it is too much for you. This will vary a lot from person to person.0 -
How about posting your schedule and level of fitness and talking in specifics. What I do would be way too much for a beginner. What a professional athlete does would be way too much for me.0

Well, as I am recovering from M.E. currently I don't expect to be doing anything major. I don't work currently and therefore I don't go out apart from at the weekends.
I'm 21, eat roughly 1700 cals a day, depending and the weights I use are either 2kg or 5kg.
I am aiming to do (after the christmas period) the 30 day shred every day, 20-30 mins of fast walking (about 3.5-4kmph) and maybe chunks of walking throughout the day in order to up how many steps I take during the day.
In the 30 day shred I use my 2kg weights. Every other day I'll be doing some basic weight training with my 5kg weights.
Basically I don't think i could push myself too much more with strength at the moment, but considering I don't go out during the week or walk about much, how much time do you think I should be doing on my treadmill to get at least 5000-10k steps a day that will still be a benificial and healthy amount?
P.s. the chunks of walking through the day will probably be much slower at 2.5-3kmph0 -
Only you can determine how you do on this plan and adjust accordingly. Try it and see how it goes.0

Thanks for the input. I have been hearing people saying that you can do too much cardio etc!0

That sounds pretty reasonable to me. Walking is pretty safe cardio. Most of the people in danger of really catabolic cardio are the people spending like 1hr plus doing moderate intensity cardio on an elliptical (for example). Your plan sounds OK. Like mmapags said, give it a try, and back off if it feels like too much.0
