Now I eat around 1500-2000 cals a day, depending on the day. Before I probably ate around 1800-4000 cals a day, depending on the day.0

I try not to eat the extra calories that MFP gives me when I workout... Just so I stay consistent with my in take.0 -
Before I had no idea how much calories I took in. Now I take in 3000 and it works great for me.0

before your start healthy eating/lifestyle?
how much did you subtract from that number or you just go down with 1400-1800 cal diet?
Why are you asking? Are u trying to figure out how much you should be eating?? How much I eat does not mean it would be a good fit for you. If you want help with that you need to post your info, such as activity level, age, height, weight, goal weight etc. Many of us are happy to help you figure it out.0 -

Mine was around 4500 or so, and I just simply used MFB's recommendation for a sedentary person to lose 2 pounds per week.
I add back in exercise burn, then eat back those calories.
I am consuming between 3500 and 4000 per day.0 -
When I first started my journey, I was on a strict 700 calories of Protein only a day. I was full and I was dropping BIG numbers. Since then I have learned to count Protein grams and water intake in ounces and I eat around 2000 a day in calories. For me, it's easier to count the proteins and it has made my journey better and healthier.0

Around 7,000 cals a day before MFP.
Around 3,300 now.0 -
I would guess that I was eating between 2250 and 2500 per day, but only burning that much a couple of days a week. The other days I burned more like 1750 or even less on the weekends, so it started to add up. The key for me has been to move more. I can still eat about the same way I ate before as long as I make sure I burn it all off.0

I never counted calories either before MFP, but I would say I EASILY ate 2500 a day! And had been known to eat a whole tombstone pizza all by myself!
I was a 5'-5.5" female who weighed in the upper 180s pretty consistently.
I now eat the 1200 calories that MFP set plus my exercise calories and am seeing results.0
