    Congrats!

I've got 2 kids (3.5 and 19 months now) and I carried on exercising as normal in my 1st pregnancy. The advice is that you can continue with exercise you already do, but don't start something new. After 12 weeks (or maybe 16, can't remember) you're not supposed to do exercises lying on your back, and if you lift weights do it from a sitting rather than standing position. I'm sure if you're a member of a gym you can ask for advice from staff on that anyway, or ask your midwife (not that mine was helpful).

As for food, you don't really need to eat much more than normal, although of course I have no idea what you eat now. If you're undereating, i'd suggest eating whatever MFP suggests for maintenance.

You're young, and you sound like you're pretty tiny (from looking at your profile) so you'll probably be one of those lucky women who don't gain much anyway.

If I were to get pregnant again i'd just continue with the exercise I do now (PT, gym, spinning, zumba, aerobics) and just tone it down a little, and i'd probably stick to 1500 calories a day as I do now.

Since you're in the 2nd trimester now you've probably got over feeling nauseous (if you did) so food should be ok. I found in my 1st trimester I felt crappy and craved carbs.

    Good luck!
  • I really recommend the book "what to expect when youre expecting". It will answer any questions you have, and is way more informative then your obgyn will be. That was my bible during my pregnancy. Since you are past the first trimester you should eat about 300-500 calories for the babyy :) keep up the exercise, it will make it easier to lose any baby weight.
