I've got a lot of reccomendations for this site on here and their beginner body weight routine which i have been incorporating with my cardio for about 2 weeks now....simple enough routine i know but i am new to this, however, now i'm stuck wondering where do i go from here...do i just build on this routine or should i be doing something entirely different if i want to see a difference....any advice much appreciated.

are these exercises easier now after 2 weeks? if so then you'll either need to make the movements harder (like doing pushups with feet raised, 1 legged squats, plyometric lunges, etc)
do you have access to weights? if making the exercises more difficult doesnt work then you can start a program involving weights since it's easier to progress your weight that way.
i've heard good things about a book called "you are your own gym", so maybe you can check that out0 -
thanks for the advice...yea i've found them getting easier and i'm just kind of stuck now where to go next. Going to try making them more difficult for another two weeks and maybe look at weight training then...
Any advice on weight training programmes...where do I start with equipment and stuff...i've never done this, its something I really want to incorporate in my exercise i just don't know where to begin0 -
try checking out bodyrock.tv and zuzkalight.com - they have some seriously kick-*kitten* body weight rutines that I've been following for a really long time0

Yes. That. Also, you can try Zuzana's "Workout for Absolute Beginners" and just add 4 minutes of cardio (50 seconds of jumping jacks/high knees/whatever, 10 seconds of rest, then another 50 second set of something else) between the six segments for a more intense circuit style workout. I just started doing that and it has been wonderful!0 -

I started out doing body weight resistance as well and it's become increasingly difficult to make my routine more difficult; at this point I'm feeling like it's more of a great warm up before my run but that's about it. I'm at the point where I'm going to start up at the gym and lift. Check out StrongLift...there are a few varieties out there. Also, I'm meeting with a personal trainer for a consultation next Thursday to go over my lift routine and re-introduce me to the weight room. I won't have a PT full time, but like the idea of having someone to consult with from time to time. The guy I'm meeting with came recommended by my mom's PT who's really awesome, but primarily works with women and full time clients. You may want to consider consulting a trainer at your gym.0 -
I think that same website has a more advanced version.0

Thanks so much for the websites will definitely check these out
And everyone else for your advice, helps a lot. Talking to a trainer at the gym was also something I considered however being a college student i'm availing of the gym membership from my college at the moment and their is no personal trainer there, there is outside gyms I could go too which i might take up in the future maybe after i've done a bit more with weights or if i'm still struggling with my weight loss.0
