Hello there, my name is Wyatt and I currently weight 180lbs at exactly 6 feet in height. My BMR is 1940 and I plan on eating 2000 calories a day to account for any miscalculations from the online calculator. I'm currently doing a hybrid of insanity and P90x and calculated the amount of calories I burn while at rest, which is 3230. If I burn around 500 calories a day for each day of the week and eat slightly above my BMR at 2000 will I theoretically lose 3.46lbs a week? Not sure if I calculated it correctly.

Not sure if bumping is allowed on this site. I just wanted to know if my math was right so I can eat healthier.0

I'm not sure I follow your sums.
Assuming 3,500 calories is a pound (and that's a big approximation!), then to lose 3.48 pounds means burning 12,180 extra calories in a week, or 1,740 per day. You say you burn 3230 at rest? But that your BMR is 1940?0 -
I went to another site to calculate my BMR and it gave me that number which conflicts with this site now that I look at it in hindsight. I was just wondering what exactly is a calorie deficit? Also where I can go to calculate how many calories are burned being sedentary.0

Use this to work it all out.
