don't know how i'm going to actually keep on track

I've already screwed up my first day I was planning to spend getting healthy. Mental justification is the fact that I ate very little yesterday (yes, people won't believe me but yes it was Christmas and Christmas meal for me = mostly vegetables and that's all I ate that day). I was unable to sleep so got up really early, which tends to be a big trigger for me because I'll end up eating a lot really early on in the day and then feel bad about it and think 'screw today'. But I do this all the time. I tell myself I can lose weight whenever I want to, and I know I can because I've lost a large amount before, a few years ago. Yet I never stick to it for long. General average is about three days before I'm back to not even trying. It means I'll add back the calories I lost in the couple of decent days, making no overall progress whatsoever.
I keep telling myself that once I'm back into my usual daily routine of going to university, it should be easier than when I have no structure whatsoever and nothing at all planned to do. I say that, but last semester at uni I was incredibly depressed and binge eating a lot, so I don't know how it'll work out right this time, but I just hope it will. At uni, I walk a total of an hour each day on average, which is more than when I'm at home with my family and I barely leave the house.
For now though, I feel disgusting. But people often tell me I should GAIN weight, which I can't comprehend for the life of me. My BMI is in the 'healthy' range but I have no muscles to speak of and I don't even look slim. I hate the feeling of having fat on me and I was way happier and more confident when I was about 10 lbs lighter last year. It's not even a lot to lose, but I'm just so scared I'll keep gaining and gaining and actually get overweight again.

Maybe you should incorporate weight/strength training so you can build and increase your muscle mass. Also remember that if you don't want to gain weight and live healthy then make that your mind set. Life a healthy lifestyle with whole foods, fruits, veggies, protein.. IMHO0

Don't beat your self up today we are all or at least most on here are eating more for Xmas but the trick is tomorrow to get back on the wagon and back on track. Good luck you just have to be stricken with yourself only you can do this.0

THIS^^^ start lifting heavy things and putting them down.
Don't let the scale dictate how you feel about yourself.
When you are lifting weights, your body composition will change, the scale may not...but you will end up looking so much different!

When I started in february, I was BIGGER than the picture on the left--and weighed over 30lbs more. In the picture on the left, I am wearing size 16/18 workout pants, and my bra is a 42DD.
In the picture on the right, I am wearing a 38C bra, the same tank top, size 12/14 shorts. I have been doing strength training for about 10 months now. Lifting heavy for about 2 months. I have almost no fat on my thighs, I have back muscles, biceps--all things that I don't remember ever having.0 -
