what should i do about my exercise??

so this morning I was about to do my insanity workout and when I started I didn't put my all in it. I was thinking why cant I stand here and do a 55 min. video but stay at the gym for an hour and a half?? I think it's because videos don't work for me and that's why I hate doing insanity and never really try when I do it. it's not that I can't do it ,but video exercises arent for me, everyone's differrent. so I'm thinking of investing in some new equipment but my question is 1.should I still do insanity if itll give me results?? 2. what are good exercises to try, yoga? what should i do on my own?? go jogging, make-up exercises??
