Any help with eating clean thinking about trying this starting tomorrow??

I try to eat clean as much as possible. Here are a few tips that I use...
-Cutting out as much sugar as possible....I also sleep so much better when I don't have sugar in the afternoon.
-No fastfood!
-Stay away from processed/packaged foods
-Not drinking as much alcohol
-Eat more fruits and vegetables..I try to load up my meals with veggies, healthy for you, free calories, and fills you up.
-When you do buy something that is packaged/in a can make sure to read the ingredients. The fewer ingredients the better and if you don't know what something is, look up...you might be surprised what you find in things.
Clean eating may feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially if you have a lot of changes to make. Take baby steps..little changes day by day. Don't give up your favorite foods completely. Eating "dirty/bad" foods once in a while won't hurt you...as long as you stick with portion control. Crave french fries?...make them yourself and bake them instead of deep fat frying them. Pizza?...make it yourself and use less cheese and more veggies. I suggest cooking more at home. Yes it takes a little more time, but I definitely appreciate my food more when I've put the time into it.

^^ This. Also, if you have a really dirty diet, you might have some withdrawal symptoms. Before I started eating clean(er) I at a lot of fast food and easy meals like hamburger helper and rice-a-roni. My first couple of weeks were rough. :blushing: It's been a few years for me and now just the smell of McDonald's or KFC makes me sick to my stomach.
Keeping to the outside perimeter of the grocery store is a good place to start, there is little-to-no processed food there. Also, find local farmer's markets or food co-ops, you'll get the freshest foods there. Good luck!0
