Cheese is a stellar source of calcium -- and saturated fat. Even going the reduced-fat route is no guarantee you won't line your arteries with lard, since low-fat versions need to have only 25 percent less fat than a brand's full-fat original. What's the best way to find out if your favorite is truly as lean as the label suggests? Do a little comparison shopping.

I love cheese and eat cheese and I have lost 46 pounds over the last year. I also love milk. I drink skim milk but I eat regular cheese. I would rather have a little of the good stuff than more of the less fat stuff. So that is something that allow myself and I have still lost weight. So that is my story on cheese!0

I agree! I'd go without sugar before I went without cheese - in fact, I am! And I can't handle the non-fat stuff. It's just not right.
I'm glad to hear that someone has consistently lost weight while not giving up regular cheese, even if it means smaller chunks!0 -
the Sargento Medium Cheddar is yummy 60 cal and 4g Fat.
I like the slices, then I don't have to weigh it- and I don't cut a big slice. I eat alot of cheese, too. Lowfat cottage cheese is good, and parmesan.

Ok I totally agree I would never eat those crappy low fat options they are just horrible and taste stale at least the ones in the UK are I prefer to buy a stronger cheese and eat small amounts (like 1oz on a sandwich) as it is a gr8 source of calcium and it is nicer than taking supplements I mix it with tuna or even egg on a wholemeal sandwich delicious.0
