Balancing the Crazy

I've been doing pretty good with eating and working out. I have lost 40 lbs, most before I started with MFP.

Then in the last two months, the wheels fell off (well, I stopped some medication due to side effects) and I have put on 10 lbs.

Also, it's the winter and my work has been crazy and I'm on the go almost constantly ... and I worked out less. And had less energy. And ... well... 10lbs. Pretty logical.

What isn't logical is that I can't find a balance between knowing the reasons I've put on the ten pounds and fixing them ... and beating the F*** out of myself for being a stupid, lazy, worthless so and so for letting it happen.

I mean, really, I thought this baggage had been dealt with. Apparently not.

At this point I'm not sure what my new goal weight should be, I'm all discombobulated.

At 5'4, the internet tells me anywhere between 117-146 is a good weight. I'm usually more concerned about how I feel: how strong I feel and what my jeans feel like. But setting a goal also feels good ... I think I'll go with 130. Meaning another 30lbs to go. (Inside Crazy Voice says, "woulda been 20lbs to go you idiot!!")

Accepting friend requests from crazies and non crazies alike ... would like to offer support and find support as well. :)

Friend request sent. This past year I've learned a lot about putting aside shoulda woulda coulda and concentrating on what I am going to do RIGHT NOW and in the immediate future. It has really helped me.

    Thanks :)

I am not used to set backs that were my fault ... or possibly I've just viewed every other set back as NOT MY FAULT, lol...

It's okay, if the first one is even remotely true you've led a blessed life, and as for the second reason, it's the past. Now is what matters!

Those numbers can also be crazy-making. Any way we can judge ourselves harshly is an opening for unhappiness.

You are like every one els on this site. Food is everywhere, stress is a part of life, and learning to juggle everything is a process.

Love yourself, unconditionally, right now. It's the only thing that works.
