a new weekly menu. whoot!

sunday - french dip and spicy mustard
spagetti squash with rotel and parmesan cheese
strawberries and cream

monday - reuben
brussel sprouts
plums

tuesday - pasties
steamed broccoli
yogurt
melon

*wednesday - terryaki turkey burgers with mango salsa
loaded mashed potatoes
salad
bananas

thursday - leftovers

friday - baked mac and cheese
raw veggies with hummus (carrots, celery, cucumbers, peppers)
apples

saturday - lasagna (meat or veggie? not sure)
garlic bread
salad
blackberries

sunday - eat out at lola's or mexican fusion

  • I do my grocery shopping every Tuesday, so my menu starts on Wednesday.

    Breakfast: 1 piece of fruit, greek yogurt
    Lunch: Turkey on a whole weat roll, piece of fruit, baby carrots
    Dinner: Black Pepper Citrus Chicken with Fresh Corn Salad

    Thurs 2.25.2010
    Breakfast: cup of berries, applesauce, peanut butter bread
    Lunch: leftovers from dinner the night before, on a bed of spinach leaves with baby carrots and cucumbers
    Dinner: Her Bread Stuffed Tomatoes with Parmesan Cheese

    Fri 2.26.2010
    Breakfast: cup of Kashi Strawberry Fields cereal with 1 cup of Promiseland Milk
    Lunch: leftovers from dinner the night before, baby carrots, and a cup of berries
    Dinner: Chicken and Sausage Gumbo

    Sat 2.27.2010
    Breakfast: plain oatmeal with cinnamon on top
    Lunch: 4 slices turkey on a whole wheat rolls with pepper jack cheese and mayo, baby carrots, an apple
    Dinner: Out to eat, will probably get chicken or seafood

    Sun 2.28.2010
    Breakfast: an apple dipped in peanut butter, whole wheat toast with jelly
    Lunch: leftovers from where I ate Saturday (I always have leftovers!!)
    Dinner: leftover Gumbo (I make alot on Friday, so I don't have to cook on the weekend)

    Mon 3.1.2010 (weigh in day!)
    Breakfast: greek yogurt, an orange
    Lunch: spinach leaves with assorted vegetables, cup of berries
    Dinner: Quick Carrot and Raisin Salad

    Tues 3.2.2010
    Breakfast: homemade granola
    Lunch: leftover Salad from dinner the night before
    Dinner: Pasta with Lemon Cream Sauce

    Wed 3.3.2010
    Breakfast: applesauce, cup of berries, whole wheat toast, plain
    Lunch: leftover pasta
    Dinner: Homemade Chicken Pot Pie



    Snacks usually consist of celery and laughing cow cheese, or some nuts.

    Here is my plan for dinners this week:

    Tonight: Homemade watercress soup; tostadas with shredded pork, yogurt, salsa and shredded Tillamook cheese
    Monday: Turkey Meatloaf (I found a great recipe from Gourmet on the Epi iPhone app), arugula salad and yams
    Tuesday: Leftover meatloaf, salad, broccoli
    Wednesday: Duck breast with a sauce made from cherries and balsamic vinegar; rice and whole grain mixture
    Thursday: Fried rice with slivers of duck breast, water chestnuts and bean sprouts; stir-fried baby bok choy
    Friday: Marinated flank steak, salad, ciabatta roll
