Logging while sick (with a cold)

When you guys get a cold/flu do you go ahead and continue keeping up with everything or do you give yourself a few days to regroup? I didn't log at all yesterday becuse it was Christmas and I feel like poop and all I wanted was a cookie and today I wanted a gallon (lol) of sweet tea and a hot Bojangles biscuit and spicy chicken - I can't breathe, my throat feels like glass is scratching it, and and everything I eat tastes like snot for the most part anyway. Chicken noodle soup is what's for supper since I blew my calories away at lunch. I guess I have answered my own question - I need to throw those Christmas cookies out before that 17 pound loss becomes a gain and I'm right back where I started! So what do you all eat when you are sick I guess is the new question lol

i dont have much of an appetite when i'm sick. when i have a sore throat i have a hard time eating anything other than soup. i'm usually way under when im sick..its when i start feeling better that i have issues, i'm usually ravenous but i figure my body needs the fuel.0

I generally log as normal, to try to make sure I'm getting plenty of nutrients. I wouldn't obsess so much over meeting my calorie goal (over or under) but it's still helpful to know what you're getting. I'm just talking about a cold though, if you're really sick, then no, don't worry about it.0

I normally am not all that hungry (I've been sick going on day 7 today) and I honestly don't really keep track of what I eat. I drink a ton of water to stay hydrated and today I actually managed to work out (I coughed and hacked through the entire thing, but it did make me feel a little better and accomplished). But honestly I like to take care of myself and put my health first so that I can get better.0

Yes, I log no matter what.0

As above, when I am poorly my appetite is the same, much reduced, and I have gone 24 hours with just water, and despite the food Nazis on mfp I lived to continue my weight loss
If feeling rotten, just do what your body tells you, unless it is stuff yourself with cream dough nuts;-) But even then, in moderation will not be the end of the world0 -

I share your pain. I too have shards of glass in my throat..arghhhhh..my ear tubes hurt and my head is starting to.
I ended up eating chicken soup with tons of garlic, ginger, hot sauce and green onions to help ward it off. I was away this Cmas so I didn't log in. Truthfully, not until I got sick did I realise I MUST get back to my lifestyle change.
A couple of days of eating soups and teas and lots of water won't gain back those 17 pounds. Don't beat yourself up if you have a few recovery days. Who wants junk anyway when the throat hurts so badly.
Feed the birds the mas cookies )
Peace and Veggies0 -
I logged today because even though I have a cold too I'm at work and I thought eh might as well. Last week I had the flu I didn't log because everything I ate just came right back up no point to that.0
