What is circuit training? I get the idea that it's not as good as lifting heavy but I'm not sure I get the difference.

I saw a post a few days ago that said ChaLean Extreme was circuit training and in doing research on this, one website said that circuit training was short burst of moderate resistance followed quickly by another round targeting a different muscle group. So why is CLX considered circuit when she encourages lifting heavy, lifting slow and mostly lower reps- 6-12 depending on week?

    HI!

Only the Lean phase of CLX is considered circuit training, Burn and Push are focused more on slower, heavier lifting so that participants have an opportunity to build muscle and increase their metabolism.

    Hope that helps!

You basically have the right idea.
Circuit training involves finishing one movement and going right into another with no rest basically.

It gives people the feeling that they're working extra hard. When in reality it's fine to take a break between sets, and actually allows you to move more weight for more repititions.
Circuit training would just keep your heart rate elevated the whole time.
