Are you about 5'4", Female, 160-170lbs - Me too...

Hey there! I joined this site last January thinking I was going to have this awesome year, an awesome transformation. Needless to say, that didn't happen...

Like at all...

Not even a little.

So what I'm looking for now are other women in the same boat as me. (I'm 5'4" - approximately 165-167lbs. My goal is to get down between 130-140.) Do you fit that description? If so, feel free to add me so the we can motivate each other through the next year.

The time is going to pass regardless of how we spend it. Why not spend it getting fit and healthy?

Hi! I'm a little taller at 5'6" and weigh 164lbs (or I did before xmas lol). I've lost 55lbs so far and would like to lose another 15lbs.

I've spent 17 months getting fit and healthy now, since my daughter was 7 weeks old! She's now 19 months and chasing her around (and my 3.5 year old) definitely helps with the weight losss

    Feel free to add me.

Ah! that same exact thing happened to me... and actually did lose, was down to 148, and then got discouraged because I gained 5 pounds, and that 5 pounds has now turned into 20 pounds :( so... I'm sooo willing to help each other! I need the kick in the butt, and something different. New year, trying new things- other than what I've done in the past.

Hey - I'm there with you - I'm a little shorter but I am in the same weight category and wanting to get to around the same weight. I'm a little older - but if you don't mind that - feel free to friend me. I'm pretty active on the boards and I am starting New Rules of Lifting for Women in January, I also do the Insanity program (though not on the 2 month schedule), and I try to jog/run when I can. I weigh around 165 or so and I think that 135 or 140 would be a good spot for me. Though I am focusing on losing inches and toning more than I am worried about the weight.

Also, I am a fellow Ohian! I grew up around the Lima area - used to go to Cedar Point every summer!

Finally! I knew there had to be at least a few people out there with similar stats. Thanks everyone for the replies - and feel free to add me! Also what is everyone planning to do for the new year? What are your plans?

It's always good to hear there are others with similar stats. What are your measurements ladies?

I'm an hourglass - boobs 38", waist 30", hips 40", thighs 22" or just under.

I'm just going to continue a I have been in Jan. I've logged on MFP for 180 days or so now so will carry on with that, and I'll keep up the exercising. I do 1 or 2 personal training sessions a week, go to the gym on my own for a mixture of weights and cardio, try to do spinning once a week and do aerobics every Sat (although it's not on this Sat). I also do zumba after work once a week as one of my colleagues teaches it as she's getting experience to be an instructor.

My husband bought me a zumba game for the X Box Kinnect so i'll be using that too. My personal trainer has started to do more weights with me now as i'm closer to my goal weight.

I'm weighing in around 165-ish, and my last measurements were:

    Arms - 13" ea.
    Forearms - 10" ea.
    Chest (@ Nipple) - 39"
    Waist (@ Navel) - 38"
    Hips (@ Widest) - 42"
    Thighs - 25" ea.
    Calves - 13.5" ea.

I can't remember when I took those measurements, and I plan to take my measurements again on Monday.

My husband and I have put together quite the home gym - we have an olympic weight bench/barbell set with up to 300# to lift, a hanging boxing bag, a speed bag, a treadmill, adjustable dumbells, a stability ball, and an ab lounger in our basement. Problem is we never use any of it! lol
We also have a small tv and dvd player for working out.

We got a Kindle Fire HD for Christmas, so I downloaded a C25K or C210K program - can't remember which. I plan to get up earlier to do that and also make time in the evenings for weights.

I just hope and pray I find the motivation and dedication to stick with it.

I am a busty curvy girl. I think - maybe just my perception - lol - but I think I carry my weight well. I did my measurements before I started Insanity but would have to go back and see what they were. I am still wearing my pants - but they are tight tight tight and I have a hang over in the tummy. I also cannot believe how big my hips got - I've never been big in the hips or butt before. I was way bigger than this before and I was able to get get down and felt great so I know I can do it - I just have to put my mind to it.

My plan is to start New Rules on the 14th along with doing cardio of either walking/jogging and adding Insanity into the mix. I am going to follow the New Rules nutrition plan which is 40 c/30 f/30p and doing the calculations my lowest calorie intake on nonworkout days is 1300. I will eat more on workout days. Once I get the book I will finalize the calorie range for me but I have done a lot of different calculations and 1290 seems to be my loss 1 lb a week range so I'm going to try hard to stick with that eating more for workouts and keeping my macros where they should be.
  • You can add me as well. I am 5'2" and at 164 lbs. I started seriously using this site in September and at that time I was 182 lbs. So it is working for me, just slowly. But I'm ready to push the petal to the metal for 2013. :-)
