What's a good mix of excercise?

My schedule allows me to work out 4 to 5 times a week. I haven't done much weight lifting, though I would like to. I usually stick to cardio (HIIT, spped walking, Zumba). What would be a good mix to add in the weights, i.e. how many days of weights vs cardio?

Start with a beginner's full body compound program like Starting Strength or Stronglifts.0 -

The main thing to remember is to give yourself rest days between weightlifting sessions for the same muscles. Weightlifting creates small tears in the muscles exercised. The body repairs those tears during rest days; those repairs make the muscles stronger.
I currently alternate abs exercise days with other weightlifting days. My sessions are comparatively light and don't take long, so I also do cardio on those days.
Bottom line: Do what you feel you can maintain and tweak as necessary.0 -

I just on my own decided to do a half marathon every month to track progressI also rock climb. I was actually doing that as my warm up for lifting...maybe not the best idea! LOL! but it's so much fun I had to play!
