Self Control

My PT told me to cut out grains and sugar. I did that at the end of November. He also said you only have so much will power so dont use it all up at one time.

The week before Christmas, I went a little crazy. After losing 7 lbs, I gained 2 back. I noticed my joint aches also came back. Christmas week, I was very controlled with my eating. I did eat some grains , etc but I planned ahead what days I would eat grains and was extra meticulous on the other days. I ended up losing a pound over Christmas and I feel so much better and in control! I have decided that is my goal - to stay in control. Losing weight and feeling better will be fringe benefits. Nothing feels as good as being in control and deciding when to eat a treat. That out of control eating leaves me feeling so mad and guilty! :grumble:

Anyone have any tips about staying in control?
