This may not get so much love around here but Keto is how I have lost 81lbs in 8 months. I am now down to 184lbs and started at 265

I have made a document outlining how and what to eat and general weight-loss rules and guidelines that anyone should follow regardless if you are on keto or not.
I welcome the flamers and haters and the skeptics on fat consumption.
All I ask is that you keep an open mind.
Please let me know what you think!

I think you did a great job and spent a lot of time putting that together.
Thank you.
Admittedly a ketogenic diet produces the fastest weight loss. Most people look better, there is no puffiness or water weight so your muscles show.
It's difficult to stick with though. You have to be constantly creative with your recipes; because being in ketosis leaves you with little appetite, sometimes there just isn't anything from your food choices that you feel like eating.
Another plus is that in the first few months you really don't need to count calories; you just aren't that hungry.
I don't follow a ketogenic diet now but it has worked for me in the past. Actually I did a CKD for several months and was down to my lowest body fat ever. Now I eat like a "normal" person because I really don't have the time for all the planning. Plus your social life tends to take a hit ... no alcohol and you're constantly ordering meat and salad at resteraunts. Not necessarily a bad thing, I suppose it depends on your priorities.
If you are doing well on it, good for you. You've lost a lot of weight, you look great and you should be proud of yourself.0 -
Looks good. I'm new here and I've actually been researching Keto diets for some time. I have about 60lbs to lose [fat] but want to preserve muscle that I have and then build on that once I'm no longer in a caloric deficit.
I don't know how sustainable that would be long term but I think re-introducing carbs is something that'll have to be done slowly and the "right" carbs have to be re-introduced - ie. more veggies and fruits as opposed to grains. I do not do well on grains at all, my body pretty much rejects them - no matter the grain, I get sick. I've been tested for Celiac several times and it's always negative. I think I'm just carb sensitive.
Anyway...thanks for the info.0 -
I appreciate your efforts I really need a way to get up to speed on this F_A_S_T
I have to lose 40 pounds in total
but want to look a lot leaner by the end of March?
do you feel that is too radical to ask of this Keto plan?0
