How does a HRM calculate your calories burned? I would like to get one but what would be the best way to go. The website I was looking at didn't say anything about caloriie monitoring. If I get one that just tells the HR can I figure the calories myself?

It is better to get a HRM that also can do the calories burned. The basic way most of them calculate is by having periodically take aa resting heart rate so it will have a base line. You then also put in age height and weight so to take in all the information. It iwll then calculate calories burned from this. It iwll show different from what will record on alot of the carido machines because they have the best case scenerio.
