I'm a desert girl that doesnt mind walking in the heat and sun w/ a bit of sun protection, but I'm in a place now that actually gets snow and ice! Yucko! My question is how do you even attempt to walk/jog in the snow and ice. I can't wear my tennis shoes anymore, and I hate having wet cold feet. I need to get my dogs moving and walking. They love the snow but I'm scared to death of ice and slipping and my snow boots give me blisters. I need idea and advice from you eskimos out there.

Google Yak Trax. They're elastic thingies with grippers that slide on the bottom of your shoes (any walking shoes) that give you traction on snow and ice.
