New to My Fitness Pal

Hi I'm a full time college student who just recently got engaged 3 days ago :). I'm looking to loose at least 10 lbs. My fiancee is on a high carb and high protein diet to gain weight and muscle. It's hard to cook around his weight gaining stuff and me trying to lose weight. I don't know what to do. It's just so easy to give in because his food looks so much better, and even TASTES better than mine. I never use to have this problem I've always been VERY fit but since we gave up the gym because of finances I've gained a whooping 20 lbs. It's hard to stay motivated, eat right, and workout when your significant other is on a carb and protein over load weight gainer thing. So I would really love some help.
