    I usually eat back about 1/2 of the calories burned

    Up to you. A deficit is a deficit, whether you create it from simply eating less than your TDEE or exercising. Note that large deficits over a prolonged period of time generally aren't conducive to healthy long term weight loss. Also note that unless you're wearing a HRM and pretty positive of the number of calories burned, MFP can overestimate exercise calories significantly. Be wary of this.

    this question is asked a LOT. I'm sure you could find some old threads with the same question, and a multitude of answers. you have to find out what works for you, your body, your goals.

    personally, i usually eat most if not all of them back b/c I have my calorie goal set for NO workout each day, so I already have a deficit figured in to my daily calories. if you figure in exercise when setting your calories, then no, don't eat them back. this is assuming you want to lose weight and are not aiming to build muscle. maintaining and muscle building are two totally different ball games...
