Looking for support with emotional eating

I'm only on day 3 and I'm starting to struggle with wanting to eat out of habit NOT hunger. I know I'm not truly hungry because I just ate less than 2 hours ago.

I have always been an emotional eater, and this is how my diets usually end, but I don’t want to do that again. I am tired of starting a diet and then failing because I get bored or upset or happy, etc., but I don’t know what to do when I feel like eating just to eat.

AND, I have always tried to go it alone instead of asking for help from others and I think that’s another reason my past attempts have ended in failure. So, I'm coming to you to ask what are some strategies you use when you feel like eating just because it makes you feel good.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    You've come to the right place. I've managed to get lots more support through this site than any other diet attempt.

    We all feel like falling off the wagon every now and then but the thing to remember that tomorrow's a new day.
