Healthy Cheesy Bell Peppers

I wanted to share with you a delicious appetizer recipe I came up with at Christmas dinner. This appetizer consists of 5 ingredients and literally takes 15 minutes to make.

Nutrition Facts

Serving Size: One whole bell pepper

Calories: 165 Carbs: 10g Fat:11g Protein:8g Cholesterol:25g Sodium: 301g

Ingredients:

One red bell pepper

One oz crumbled gorgonzola

one half fresh lime

one tsp extra virgin olive oil

one tsp pepper

Directions: Cut bell pepper into slices following the natural grooves. In a pan, lay the bell peppers with the insides facing up. Drizzle 1 tsp of olive oil over the bell peppers. Add gorgonzola to each pepper. Squeeze fresh lime over each one.Top with pepper and bake at 350 degress for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.



*In the picture you will see that I also tried this recipe with mushrooms but it was much better with the bell peppers*
