Taking an evening walk... with my 5yo?!

Now that it's summer here in the land of Oz and the nights are lighter longer I'm considering an evening walk after dinner. There's only one hitch. I have a 5yo who wouldn't have the energy to take the walk with me as it nears bed, but I'm a single Mum so its the only choice I'd have. Can't afford to buy a new pram even if I could find one that'd take her 20kgs. Any suggestions? And no I'm not prepared to piggy back her the whole way at this stage :P

Is there a track nearby? Most of the walking/running tracks around here have a playground. You can walk, and supervise the child, and they don't have to go as far as you do.

20kgs? Most standard prams go to 26kgs.

At that age my daughter loved her scooter, and could go miles on it.

    Thanks for all the suggestions!

I do like the idea of a wagon!

There is a track nearby but no playground! Maybe I should do sprints and get her involved timing me! LOL Not the leisurely evening walk I had in mind!

Unfortunately most of the AU prams/strollers I've seen only go up to 17kgs.

My husband and I would go for walks after dinner and he would push my daughter in a wagon which is a better workout for him. Fast forward to 3 kids later and we have the kids ride their scooters or we go to an empty parking lot and walk in circles while the kids ride their bikes.

I was about to come in with a load of warnings because a lot of 10k training ended in tears, but yeah, walking should be OK.

If I was shopping for the solution, it would be the simplest and lightest bike suitable.
