Do you find dieting confusing due to advertising?

Options
Hello everyone,

Over the next few weeks I will be conducting research for my dissertation regarding nutrition confusion and marketing. I have not yet created any surveys as I need to research some more, but if anyone has any input on the topic it would be extremely helpful!

I am mainly looking at how products are marketed towards dieters but if this is actually creating more confusion in the supermarket aisles than being helpful - products such as 'light' foods (which a lot of the time turn out to be high in sugar), whether portion sizes are confusing (e.g. a lot of people seem to find portioning cereal difficult)..

I'm a bit all over the place with the topic just now as you can tell so that is why any opinions at all, personal experiences of switching to healthy eating and nutrition confusion due to product packaging and advertising, would be very useful!

Thank you!
