Final weigh in for the year

Well I started at the beginning of August at 101kg (222.6lb) 175cm (5ft 9 ) 50 year old male, and I'm now down to 82.5kg (181.8lb) a loss of 18.5kg (40.7lb). I'm really pleased with my progress with my final goal being 75kg which is my recommended max BMI. I would also like to reach that weight, as that was what I weighed when I married 25 years ago.
I have found MFP has made the big difference, being able to educate myself about food choices. I never really feel hungry by reducing my food intake. I do at least 30 minutes every day on the treadmill and weights every second day. The gym is a less than 10 minute walk from my home, with 24 hour access.
I no longer drink calorie filled drinks, plenty of water, between 2 to 3 litres a day and limit my fruit intake. The big benefits for me is that I can now do many physical activities and not feel too exhausted. I have a long haul plane flight of over 13 hours coming up in a weeks time, and look forward to this being more comfortable than some previous flights.
If I reach my final goal weight before August next year, I will be very pleased. The secret seems to be a slow steady controlled pace. Maintaining a maintenance weight somewhat scares me. I haven't indulged at all over the Christmas period, which was a major hurdle to overcome. I will be interested to know what the effect will be of being overseas for 3 weeks, away from my regular diet and access to a gym?
