in Fitness and Exercise
At the gym last night. Finish my workout and head to the locker room. Two high-school maybe college age guys who spent as much time out on the floor flexing in the mirrors as they did actually lifting are now in the locker room in their underwear flexing for each other. When they noticed I had come in they quickly stopped, looked a little sheepish at first and then started talking to each other like they had been born and raised in the inner city in what I can only assume was an attempt to redeem their "toughness". Yeah, they looked real tough walking off to the showers together after that too.

Sorry, just a little venting, I couldn't help it. It was hard enough controlling my laughter in the locker room. :)

    I am always willing to cut young guys some slack when it comes to such things.
    Manliness is lacking in that generation as a result of how soft our nation has become.
    It's no biggie.
    The warrior class remains.

    Bless. I think it's kind of tough for boys becoming men these days. The images of *manliness* available to them are often kind of ridiculous. I feel faintly sorry for the late teens / young men I teach, as they seem to feel required to affect a particular kind of manly pose, which doesn't really do them any favours.
