Should I try this hairstyle for 2013?

I'm thinking about going bold with my hair for 2013, but I don't know which hairstyle I want.

AliceCullenHair.jpg
Should I try Alice Cullen's hairstyle from New Moon?

AliceCullenHair2.jpg
Or should I try Alice's hairstyle from Eclipse?

Or should I go completely different?

HairIdea.jpg
This is my current hair.

What do you think?

Your hair looks like a different texture than the pic. I think the style would look great you would just have to "do" your hair days...blow it out, flat iron it....and use product for straightening and shine. Good luck:)

You look like you have wavey/curly hair, if you layer it (from my own experience) it will get more curly. If you leave your hair longer, it weighs your curls down . It all depends on what you want. I personally like bangs, and think you would look good if you kept your length but had bangs. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I agree with getting bangs. Get some layers in there for manageability and get a full bang. A full bang will be a dramatic change without having to take a risk on a choppy cut. (I don't think the cuts that you posted are that flattering.) If you go this route, ask your hair person how to blow dry to get the bangs the way you want them since you have natural wave and curl. If you don't know already of course.

You do not have the right hair type for that haircut. It would be a disaster. Just being honest.
  • Her hair is the same length, and same cut, in both movies - just styled differently. New Moon has more product on it to get the spiked out look, Eclipse has less.

Unless you want to spend every day straightening and styling your hair, I wouldn't go for such a cut tbh.

If you wanted something new and polished looking, without the effort of those two, why not go for a graduated bob? Means that for the back you don't need to do much as it's pretty short and self-kept, and at the front it just needs blowdried straight/straightened every now and then. Plus, with the texture of your hair, it would probably be easier to keep.

Something like these perhaps - http://www.beauty-and-the-bath.com/image-files/celebrity-bob-hairstyles-kym-marsh-ryder.jpg

The first 2 pics are the same haircut. Also unfortunately I have to agree with the others. I don't think you have the right hair type for that style. Not saying it will look bad, just probably not as intended without a huge amount of maintenance.

I like number 2. I'm thinking about cutting my hair too and I might get that style for myself.

I actually love those cuts, but agree that wavy hair might not work out so well for it.

If it helps, I'd KILL to have wavy hair. I can't even duct tape curls and have them stay!

The girl in the picture has many stylist working on her hair for the movie shoot (not even sure if all of it is her hair). Can your hair achieve something similar? Sure, but you would have to blow dry, flat iron and apply the right after product daily in order for it to look like that.

You arent going to come out of the shower with it looking like that haha so if you are up for the challenge why not.

All she has is razor cut bob, like a "shag". I would however keep the bangs longer then what she has.

Do you have a personal stylist to do your hair every morning? Those both require a flat iron, blow dryer and possible an assistant. And then if the wind blows you're doomed.

As someone with wavy hair, I agree that it would be hard to make it look like "Alice's" hair. But I don't think it would look bad curly, either.

I've had mine cut like this a couple of times, and it looked good if I wore it straight, or if I just put some styling cream in it and wore it curly/wavy.

love love love the 1st one! Sexy, Sassy, and just plain awesome! Very stylish and I think if you could pull off getting it to look like that everyday (hahah we all know that's the secret!) I think you should go for it!!:drinker:

ahhh hello? She's got short hair now and she look great!!

What is it with men and long hair, women that wear it short can be very sexy. Some girls just have the face and personality for short hair. PLUS hanging out at the gym etc., is not a fun place to have long hair, it's a real hassle when you use the pool, sweat etc. If it's long enough you can pull it back but....

it really is to each his one... I love long hair but then I go short and it feels so light and much less heavy and the pool etc. is a breeze then! But then I love short hair too...

Cut idea with going layered and bangs.... I DO think that would be a nice for you... Maybe I glanced much to quickly when responding because the person is correct, you have a different texture and it might make styling it everyday a long process.

Have you asked your stylist? Often times for me it's the shape of the face that determines what looks good so they might be able to help with even more ideas.

I love this hair do', used to have short hair for ageeess, but I've gone back to longer hair do's lately. All I would say is just check that you have the same face shape as the actress playing Alice, if you have a different face shape it will not look the same and might not suit you :)

Appreciate the feedback, everybody! That type of hair may be great for Ashley Greene's character, but perhaps it may NOT be the right look for me. On top of that, I believe she's younger than me by 13 years! (She's only 25, and I'm 38!) Maybe I need to think about a style that's better for someone that's 38 years old. What do you think?

I thought you were in your 20's from the picture you posted. To me it's not the age issue. Actually, the reason I didn't like the second picture you posted was that it looked too staid to me. I just plain don't find the first one attractive. Besides JBoccio's hair, I think the last picture plaingirly posted would be great too.

This. I have wavy hair and have a bob and it works well. I keep it somewhat wavy in the back and blow dry the front. I do like the darker color. I think that would be more flattering. That being said, I am older than dirt and never understand younger girls not having long hair. Men love it and you will have lots of time to have it short. Trust me.

Find a stylist you trust. One way to find one, if you don't have one yet, is to ask women who have hair-styles you like with hair texture similar to your own who does their hair. Have a consult before you get a cut. Bring in photos with styles you like and then ask what can be done similar with your curls/texture. Be sure to let them know just how much time and effort you're willing to put into styling your hair each day.

Personally, my stylist gives me cuts that gets me compliments and I don't have to do a dang thing to my stick-straight hair. Just towel dry and let it dry on its own. If I want, I can add some product for some oomph but it's not necessary. I spend about 60-seconds on my hair. That's about right for me.

Even if you don't mind spending more time, make sure that the style is a do-able amount of time or you probably won't keep it up. It's better to work with your hair texture than against it, imho.

ETA: And if you don't like it, hair grows. Have fun!

Your hair texture looks a lot like mine.

I like the style that Lorina posted. Really cute. I think it would suit you. I couldn't do it tho'. I can't do bangs. My curls and waves are too tight at my face. When I cut and layer my hair it really curls up. If I condition the heck out if and leave it alone I can get a really good natural curl going on. You can see the difference in my two profile pix. The short cut is an A-line bob - similar to the photos others have posted, but with wavy/curly hair. The angle of the photo makes it a challenge to see the difference between the front and the back, but you get the idea.

    Good luck!
