It is time

Hi. I joined MFP about a year ago but I only used it as a tool to look up calories. I always start off good and go down hill quick. I set my name as keep it up now to remind me I have to keep it up if I am going to be sucessful. This is the first time I've used one of these message boards. I figured I needed the support and most of my friends and family do not need to lose weight. I like to run but right now I am really out of shape. I plan to really start on Jan 7. I am developing my plan now. My very long term goal is to lose 50lbs. I appreciate any help!
