Getting Back on Track

Hi everyone!

I am new to myfitnesspal and I am looking to get back into my formerly active lifestyle. I was a three sport athlete in high school and remained active for years after. In the past few years I have become more sedentary in my lifestyle, as I made I move 1500 miles away from family and friends to a warmer climate, and as I spent 60+ hours a week in my teaching career - teaching, creating activities and lesson plans, correcting, and other things I am required to do as a teacher.

I have never felt comfortable joining a site like this because I don't have a lot of weight to lose. I would just like to lose about 10 pounds tops - but I am more interested in getting toned and in better health.

I realized that entering my 30's, I am going to need to take more of an active role in my health - more activity and better eating habits.

So, if anyone else is in this area of their life, needs support to stay on track, or just needs a cheerleader - let's do this together.
