Anyone else old like me?

Hi everyone. I just joined MFP with the hope (like half the American population!) of losing some weight this year. I don't have a huge goal -- I'd like to lose about 10 pounds so that my clothes fit better, I feel better about my body, and my BP goes down. Once I lose those 10 pounds I might go for another 5 or so, but I'm not hugely overweight, just fatter than I want to be.

Having said that, I'll also say that I'm a 69 year old woman with an arthritic knee and some arthritis in my lower back and hips. Not terrible, but I'm not going to be doing a lot of strenuous exercise. I will be looking into either a gym membership or maybe a place where I can swim laps or take a water aerobics class. I already walk my dog 1.9 miles nearly every day (yes, I wear a pedometer).

I'm interested in finding a group of older people like me who have modest weight loss goals but need some support. Is there a group for us?

I literally JUST joined, like 10 minutes ago, so I haven't explored this site much at all. Will be looking around, but would also love to hear from some other folks.
