I Want To Get Healthy for me!

I have yo-yo'ed for a few years and I am tired of it. I have a new lease on my happiness and a fantastic fiance willing to support me and work out with me. I am also getting married August 3rd so there is a bit of extra incentive but I want and have hopes to continue with my weight loss afterwards. I have 25 weeks before I have to have my dress altered and maintain my weight loss for 6 weeks until my wedding day.

I will be thoroughly pleased with 25 lbs gone since that will put me under 250 lbs which I haven't' been in a long time. If I do extremely well, I could lose as much as 50lbs and then right around 220 which would be phenomenal! It would also put me 80lbs away from my goal weight which I'd like to hit by Sept 2014.

I plan on doing the 'Zero to 10K' three times a week for the first 10 weeks and then on three other days a week I am going to be cleaning out 10ish stalls and feeding the horses on those days. For next 8 weeks I will continue the horse stall cleaning and on the three days a week I was running taking boot camp class that is 45 minutes long and possibly adding running for 15 minutes or so. The next 5 weeks I will go back to just running and weight lifting for 30/30 minutes in addition to the horse stall cleaning. I will then switch my MFP to maintenance mode and keep exercising for an 1 hour 3 days a week plus horse stall cleaning but eating more calories and with my wedding only 6 weeks away that shouldn't be an issue. Then starting the Monday after my wedding I will go back to reduced calories with the continued exercise 6 days a week.

My fiance and I have made a plan and are already no longer eating out at fast food places. So a whole year, plus more hopefully, of no eating fast food. I am excited to find my potential and exploit it.

I also have a pipe dream of running a half marathon in Sept 2013 but I don't know if I'd be up to it by then.

 Oh my goodness! Brandy! I read your post and I just want to cheer you on! I want to tell you that you can do it! :-) I was reading your story and I understand that you are wanting to shed pounds to be able to fit into a dress and also you have a goal of a marathon! Those are super amazing goals! I don't think that it is a pipe dream for you to run a marathon in September 2013. YOU CAN DO IT! I would love to follow your on your journey and I would love to share with you something that is working for a lot of people! Recently a young lady lost so much weight working towards her goal that her wedding dress was falling off of her! That to me is amazing!
