    When I was a 16/18 I could generally still find stuff in department stores too (like Macys and Dillards). Not the cheapest option, but there's still a lot of sales going on.

    I got an email today from Talbots Outlets. They have up to 70% off their winter items right now. They have regular, plus, petite and even plus petite sizes.

    I have this issue too, but I've been pretty successful with thrifting. Thank goodness too, because affording Lane Bryant has been impossible lately!

    If you're sure about your dimensions, I would try the online route. There are tons of sites out there that are exclusively plus size that don't break the bank.
