Entering my own recipe

I get the general idea, but can't execute it. For example, I make granola myself. The recipe makes a whole bunch -- but I don't know "hpw many servings." I just know that an individual serving is 1/2 cup. So how can I enter the recipe into my own food database?
Same thing with cookies. (I know, I shouldn't be eating cookies, but I'm trying to determine how many calories I am actually eating now, as well as starting to restrict my calorie intake.) I don't know how many cookies a recipe makes; I just know I have lots of them left over from Christmas baking.
Short of making another batch and counting them (which would be stupid), what suggestions do you have?
