"you can't out-exercise a bad diet" seems to be the lesson, not that spinnig sucks. Running sucks too if instead of running you slowly walked .1 miles over an hour and then consumed 3 bigmacs to reward yourself for "running."0

The last time I lost a big chunk of weight was a couple of years ago when I was eating healthy (not even counting calories) and spinning 4x a week. I think it's a fantastic workout!0

spinning definitely isn't bad. i don't care what those articles say. i sweat like a beast in spin class and feel amazing afterwards. that's all the reassurance i need!0

It doesn't seem to say that spinning is bad, just that it not the best way to burn fat/calories. Cardi is important and helpful, but more for our heart and lungs, I think, and mayb n durance-if I read it correctly. For strength and weightloss, lifting is better0

There are studies that do verify that excess bike riding can be responsible for erectile dysfunction though.

The information and reasoning in this "article" are both seriously flawed. While it is true that adaptation will occur with activity,
a) adaptation does not mean that progress will cease, specifically because
b) you can always work harder.
The very same criticisms that he levels at spinning also apply to the activities he favors. This is a classic example of "thintelligence". That is when someone has learned a limited number of catchphrases, but lacks a fundamental understanding of physiology.
Thintelligent people are easily bamboozled by pseudoscientific mumbo jumbo like "muscle confusion", or "cardio burns muscle".
If you like spinning, keep spinning. As your body adapts to the movement and your pedaling efficiency improves, you can work harder and make the exercise even more effective.0
