Hi - been following the site a little the last few weeks, it looks great. -
I am 55 years old / Broken down former athlete, looking forward to 2013 with a lifestyle change. Weigh 249 - 6 month destination 1 1/2# a week +.
Will be cutting out soft drinks, and liquid calories except some milk. Looks like about 2000 calories daily should work. Eating protein is never an issue. I'll cut back on carbs, and up my water.
Any help keeping me focused and on track will be appreciated.
Don't currently lift or swim - I could see adding them, also maybe yoga. I play competitive racquetball in the winter months, and golf during the summer - Minnesota

Sounds as if you have a great plan!
The use of this site has literally enabled me to change my whole perspective on diet and exercise!
