Ok I read some of this book last week and would like to give the slow carb diet a try for at least 3 weeks starting today! I'm afraid I won't manage without my carbs 6 days a week and will need a lot of motivation and support to go through this! Is there anyone out there who will be logging the food in January and is on the same thing?? It's basically a lot of veg, meat/fish, eggs and beans for 6 days and then you have a cheat day where you eat anything you like! Please let's be friends!

    You aren't managing without carbs because beans and lentils are rich in starches, they are just 'slower release' than many grains especially the processed ones.
