OK, thick question coming. When running outdoors, if you wear running leggings, do you wear anything over them? Or just them and a top?

Thanks in advance!!!

Noooooo I live in North England. It's raining almost constantly. And cold.(But not as cold as Ottowa!!) But because I am used to the cold, I don't wear too many layers. I wore a long sleeved running top with a short sleeve one over the top, high viz vest, and the leggings...I felt warm enough, but my legs were freezing to touch when I got back, and I was kinda paranoid about my bum being all lycra-clad....:blushing:

I would invest in some ankle length leggings. As long as my arms and upper body are warm im ok. Have a look on sports direct online, they have a good sale on.

I wear my leggings on their own with a short-ish running fleece and t-shirt underneath. I have seen a few people (mainly men I have to mention) wearing baggy running shorts over leggings which I assume is for modesty not warmth. I quickly realised that with my ridiculously bright bobble hat, ear muffs and bright top the last thing anyone is looking at is my black lycra clad backside. My skin is often cold to the touch after a run but aslong as I don't feel cold I'm not too worried about it.

Oh and I also wear knee high running/ hiking socks under the leggings as I tend to get bad calf cramps if its really cold x

I live in Colorado, USA. I have fleece lined leggings that I run in during the winter. To keep dry, ( and not show off my bum too much) I also put on nylon running pants over the leggings. They help with wind sheer and keep me dry if it's raining. I found a pair in the boys section at Target. Hope that helps!?
