Id love to see photos of women who started within healthy body weight but then lost fat and toned up. Not got majorly muscly, just looking firm.

Majorly muscly doesn't happen for women without chemical enhancement.

    Here's a good one: http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/meet-staci-your-new-powerlifting-super-hero/

I'm 5'4" and started at 145, so I was considered a "normal" BMI (though barely). This is several months old, I'm around 128 now and more toned than in the photos... but heres an idea of my progress. Between the first and second picture I lost 15 pounds with basically diet alone, then I started lifting heavy and gained a pound but lost inches before the third picture. I still lift heavy and do cardio and I'm trying to lose a few more pounds of fat.

Thanks. She looks great. I know what you're saying but some photos I have seen are not what I aim to be like. The women are too low body fat/ defined for me. Don't get me wrong, I know they have worked really hard but that's just not what in looking for.

Thanks Laurn, I'd love to look like you. What lifting programme did you use. Did you do it at home or at a gym.

I look similar to you before photo. What deficit did you use. Did you get yourvTDEE from MFP and did you eat back exercise calories.

Thanks! I started with New Rules of Lifting for Women at home with dumbbells, but they quickly got too light so I started going to a gym. I did Stronglifts for a while but the progression was too fast for me so now I'm doing a Jamie Eason fat loss routine from bodybuilding.com. I don't follow it to a tee, I modify it based on the lifts I enjoy the most and the equipment I have available. It seems to be working!

I used MFP for calories at first and they put me on 1200, but that was too little. After doing some research I bumped up to 1400 or so (above my BMR). I lost about a pound a week. I eat back about half of my exercise calories so there's room for error, but some days if I'm extra hungry I eat them all back. I've been maintaining my weight but I just decided I wanted to lose a little more, so I'm using MFP again and eating 1350 hoping to lose a pound a week again. We'll see!
