The Perfect Plank

I have just worked myself up to a steady 2 minute elbow plank. What length of time would be considered peak plank time? And should I just continue to hold it steady? Or alternate with a 10, 20-second rest?

    Or push the plank difficulty, doing reaches with arms and legs (opposites if doing both at the same time) both straight out and diagonally. Be sure to keep those hips rock stable, don't twist :)

    I like to alternate the static plank with walking planks. Way to go on the two minute plank!!
