Hello,
I'm new to the site as of about a week ago. I lost just about 2 pounds the first week, which felt great. This is just the next step in my journey. I started over 2 years ago. I lost about 20 pounds on my own then after making a remark that I could do better if i had a trainer like on the Biggest Loser, I got a gift cert. for one for Christmas that year. I didn't really mean it!!! BUT it was the best thing I could have started. Now she is one of my best friends and I workout with her once a week to keep motivated with the exercise. Now I do a lot on my own in between. For me that's easier to lose track of than the healthy eating. When I hit a plateau she suggested Weight Watchers, so I joined. I lost another 45 pounds there, but the last few months have been up & down and still the same weight. I decided not to pay again for 12 more weeks & go it alone again. A friend of my trainer recommeneded this site & so far I am addicted. Seems I'm not really doing anything different than WW except couting calories instead of points. I am visiting the site several times a day reading everyones notes and I think that is motivating too. I recently turned 50, but feel much younger after losing near 70 pounds. I still have a long way to go, but am very hopeful with friends and support. Obviously, I love to chat too!
