advice about beetroot

A warning before I go any further....this involves talking about me taking a leak...so forewarned
For some reason, for the 1st time in my life that I can remember, I made a salad today for lunch which involved cucumbers, vinegar and raw beetroot. I just peeled the beet and chopped it up with the rest, just to see what it was like raw. Couldnt have it everyday, but now I know what its like raw. That was at 12 noon.
Tonight I go to have a leak at about 9pm, have had plenty of water, some green tea, no soft drinks or alcohol.
For the 1st time, I noticed little "flecks" in the bottom of the bowl which weren't there before I started. I wouldn't call them stones because they are so small, but noticeable nontheless. Maybe about 7 or so flecks.
I did some looking on the net and it is claimed beetroot helps to dissolve kidney stones, which I dont have any symptons of or have never had a problem with. I am a white male, 42 years old.
So my question is, in peoples opinions, if the beet was going to help with kidney stones, would it happen that quick? Has anyone else had similar experiences after eating beetroot?
Serious question, sorry about the yucky nature of the question, but it is amazing that this is the 1st time I have noticed this and its the first time eating raw beetroot.
Thanks
