New on many levels...

Hello everyone! I am re-joining MFP after taking some time off. In 2011 I had major surgery and was unable to move for a few months. In 2012 I joined a program at work and learned about eating clean and some great new exercises. Along with the program, I received a free membership to a health club and discovered even more exercise classes and some of them, I truly love. The program gave us access to a nutritionist who provided meal plans to us and so much more.
New this year is that I have to do the program on my own. I have joined the health club to continue my membership and have continued to eat "clean" since the program ended last November.
I however will not be weighing myself on a scale. Through the program, I learned what my total body fat was and what my total lean muscle mass was. It is through the program that I have dramatically lowered my total body fat (I am still considered obese) but have increased my lean muscle mass dramatically as well. I now have to remember that I will not focus on my weight (I haven't stepped on a scale outside of the program in over a year) but will focus on the way my clothes fit.
This is going to be a new challenge for me to be doing it on my own, but since I have been provided the basic foundation to continue, I expect to continue to succeed. If you need support, I am all about that and will be happy to provide support and encouragement to anyone who requests it. I will help you hold yourself accountable just as I expect it in return.
Best wishes new friends on a healthier and better clothes fitting you and me both. The scale is only a number...it will not define me any more.
