    What is Maca Powder?

Maca powder is a super food. It has a nutty flavor to it. It helps balance hormones (if your body needs it), increase libido, ensure proper heart function.
    Here are the benefits;
    "-quick supply of body energy
    -increase of endurance
    alleviation of chronic fatigue
    -increase of fertility
    -relieve of menstrual symptoms
-reduce of hormonal disorders during menopause
-regulation of hormonal balance in the body
    -improvement of the overall health
    -reduce of stress
    -treatment of anemia
    -help with wound healing
-improvement of memory, mental and academic abilities
-providing the skin a youthful look
-contributing to healthy bones and teeth
-acting as an antioxidant and anticancerogenic, thus reducing the risk of cancer tissues and the development of cardiovascular disease (similar to Vitamin B17)
-a positive effect on increasing muscle mass, and by many athletes as an alternative to synthetic steroids that are known that can have many side effects"

Shakeology has maca in it. But by buying your own Maca powder, you can put it in cereal, oatmeal, bake goods, milk, protein shakes, basically anything. Caution though, dont use too much if youve never had it. It does give you energy!
You can buy online or in the organic section of the supermarket.

Maca is good in very small doses. Also make sure you take a week break every couple of months to make sure your body does not become dependent on it.

Be careful what time of the day you take maca, because it causes insomnia, accompanied by profuse sweating, increased heartbeat rate, hot flashes, and a feeling of extreme anxiety.

Maca can impact your digestive system as well causing gas and diarrhea, which in turn might give rise to dehydration. In some cases there has been a sudden increased in the potassium levels. If you are on a low a low-iodine diet, maca can cause goiters because of its high concentration of a nitrogen-sulfur organic compound.

See an herbalist or someone knowlegable before adding maca to your diet.
