Go for a run (or walk) . At first, you'll get madder, I mean, the nerve of that guy!! That's when you'll run really fast! Then you'll think about and realize he's not worth it! And by then, you'll be too tired to be angry! The best part is...you can't comfort eat when you are a half a mile from home! Unless you break into your neighbor's house!0

I try to zone out on music0

I go for a walk, and then if I don't feel better when I get back I just hop on to my favorite videogame and play until I've forgotten what I was angry about.0

If I'm really ticked I'll cry first. Then I pick up heavy stuff.
Being pissed off has been the best way for me to hit my PR's.0 -
Hit the freeways and brake hard in front of people texting and driving.0

Pft, so what? I like Harry Potter, Narnia, playing games on my nintendo DSxl, still get an advent calendar each year and find farting funny, and I am 37 years old AND female, lol. People who judge or criticise, usually do so because they are insecure themselves. Maybe they forgot how to have the freedom of being a child sometimes, and regret that.
When I get angry, I tend to usually not react in very healthy ways. I never learnt ways to deal with anger, and tend to break things, hurt myself or on occasion, eat too many sugary foods.
The times when I can control it, I get a cup of tea, and put on a comforting film or get engaged in a game or something online to take my mind off it. Sometimes I exercise it away.0 -
Writing stories is about the only thing that REALLY cools me down.
I work in software and have almost no friends outside of work. Software companies are notorious for being nerd storage units, so nobody bats an eye that I like all my movies "big, loud, and full of superheroes."0 -
I think the immature one is the one making fun of someone who has a different set of opinions.
That being said, its not good to turn to food (or alcohol) for emotional support. If you can run it off, I'd say run it off. But if you are somewhere that's not an option, trying breathing or listening to music. I like to rationalize people's behavior when I get upset. Oh, that guy just cut me off in traffic, perhaps there is some big emergency and he's on his way. I know its probably not true but 1 out of 100, it could be.
Also, I'd recommend not having something around that is quite as calorie and carb filled as a poptart. I'm not saying give up your favorite foods. I'm just saying you might ween yourself until you have control over it. I love those little cupcakes filled with creme, yummmm. Zero resistance which means zero in my house. Eventually, as I work on my weight loss and control, I'll buy them again as a treat every once in a blue moon. But I won't rely on them to make my day better.
If you really have to eat because you are upset, try something better for you. Like carrots.0 -
heavy exercise, or heavy drinking0

I listen to this. When I'm mad, angry, depressed or need a kick in the rump.
I've started listening to this before every workout to remind me that I need to push. Just one more rep or one more second before resting. Its powerful.

I am not promoting Oz Pinoy or the other site linked in the video. JUST the audio.0 -
