I am not sure of all the holidays or religious holidays coming up in spring, but for me it is easter. Even though, just my belief, I do not celebrate the religious side of easter in the bible aspect, it always brings friends and family together.
What are some of your fav-o-rite dishes and how will you change them now while on a diet or life style eating change?
For me I have a plain turkey no added hormones and a bone in ham, free range....
But I want to make things diff this time.
I want steamed veggies, cole slaw, fresh fruit and from the fit tv recipes, blain's low carb recipes..
I'm not sure how my family will react, do you think I should go on with it and do what's right for ma??
What about you all??

I'm a veggie, so I always want mashed potatoes or yams. I make them with skim milk and no butter. Sometimes I make lasagna - whole wheat noodles, zucchini, and cheese only on top - so it's whatever you want to serve. I think what you're serving is fine. I don't know that coleslaw is that healthy though.0

I wonder if I use that green goddess or the cole slaw mix....
any one know anything about it?
I will look on the fit tv site as well for a recipe for cole slaw. Usually I put vinegar, mayo, salt and pepper in it.
But I have heard of people using onion powder, carrots, relish...

ooooohhhhhh, look what I found.
INGREDIENTS:
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2/3 cup sour cream
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
Artificial sweetener to equal 2 T sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon plus one pinch salt
1 lb cabbage, shredded
PREPARATION:
Mix all cole slaw dressing ingredients together, and then mix them into the cabbage. Balance the lemon juice and sweetener to your own taste.
This makes about 7 servings of 1 cup each. Each serving has 4 grams effective carbohydrate plus 2 grams fiber, 2 grams protein, and 145 calories0
