Cooked/uncooked pasta
Okay, so this has nothing to do with recipes but it has to do with food and cooking! I'm finding it hard to figure out exactly what the difference of cooked/uncooked pasta is.....I scanned the packet i was using and it said 156kcal per 100g cooked, yet on the packet it said nothing about it being cooked and was the same amount of calories......the packet was 500g with 5 servings, i'm just trying to figure out because i weighed 100g uncooked and it came out as 200g cooked whether thats 1 or 2 portions, any help will be appreciated!! Thanks

Normally you would portion pasta dry. Packages of 454- 500g's is basically 8 servings at around 2 ounces or 60 g's per serving.0

Yeah, 100g uncooked is two servings.
Cooked, you have absorbed water, obviously.
Go with about one cup cooked equals one serving.0 -
When I did weightwatchers I was always advised to point pasta dry because when cooked it has only absorbed water weight and the weight can change dramatically depending on how long you've cooked it for, hope that helps x0
