ok so i rarely ever do this but the last two days i've been working late and grabbed a bowl of cereal as it was quick and easy before going bed just wondering how bad is this?...if im within or under my calorie limit for the day will this make a lot of difference, just concerned as i've heard so many people say stay away from this type of food especially in the evening,

No it won't hurt -stop freaking out!

As long as you are under your Macro's for the day you're fine.

I usually need a midnight snack...and I will usually have frosted shredded wheat...its sweet and it has lots of fiber....Its alright to snack i think as long as it isnt something that is horrible for you...

I regularly eat right up until bedtime, and it's often carbs. Hasn't seemed to hinder my progress any.

Unless you have a metabolic disorder there's nothing wrong with carbs. Just make sure you're getting enough protein and fat, and then fill in the rest with carbs.

Actually, for people who need a bedtime snack, it is recommended to have some carbs and protein in order to promote good sleep.
  • I personally wouldn't eat carbs late. I try to avoid them late at night for one they keep me up. Carbs turn to starch and I have a really hard time sleeping.
  • Thanks for the advice also
