What made you want to lose your weight?

I had lost a lot of weight once before and told myself I would never be X weight again. I was pretty much there and knew I needed to do something. Also my jeans were too snug and it was either lose weight or get new jeans. I'm so happy I chose option 1.0

Several car accidents destroyed my body. I was told my only option was surgery to fix my back, neck & knee & they couldn't guarantee that I would walk on my own again anyway.
15 years ago I was 5'8", well over 215lbs, in a lot of pain & almost to my wits end. Today I'm just under 5'6" and between 146-150lbs, 18.6% BF: my profile pic was taken 3 weeks ago. (yes, I lost inches due to the damage in my back, neck & hips, but that just makes me push harder to be healthier, stronger, more fit as each year passes).
When someone says "You can't", I smile and say "Watch me!"
Truly an inspiration!0 -

my friend texted me one day asking if i wanted to go on a diet with her. I said sure. At first I wanted to be supportive and give her a diet buddy, and I knew I needed to lose weight, but this time I actually felt like I was going to succeed so...it went from there.0

A man--I'm trying to attract--pretty silly, huh? But there's lots of other benefits too, of course!0

I've had some serious health issues and being lean will help.
I have booked to do the trek to the base camp of Everest in October and need to be fit and healthy.
I don't want to be the straggler at the back.0 -
My children deserve a healthy mom to be able to run around and play with them. They are my first reason. My second reason is for myself. I want to be able to be comfortable in my own skin and not feel like everyone is staring at me because I'm fat.0

It was pretty spur of the moment. I guess I just wanted a change.0

I was in great shape in High school, cross country runner, a real babe. But then I went away to college and gained the freshman 30. When I moved back home I lost some of it, but i have enver been the same. And then having two kids made me not the babe that I used to be. And I want to like what I see when I look in the mirror. I want my husband to want to ATTACK me ! LOL I want to be a MILF. Corny I know, but true0

I want to prove to myself (because I've doubted myself) and the others who think i can't that i can!
I want to be really proud of myself; I want to look back and say man that was really hard, but the results were so worth it.
I want to develop good eating/exercise/lifestyle habits now so i don't have to worry about
Less chin fat (lol)
Flat stomach!!!!
Being at this weight has prevented me from being truly happy and I think I deserve happiness.
I just want to finally lose this weight! I've been trying to lose it for 3 years and I'm sick of always failing! This time I'm not giving up!

Before getting a job, all i did was lounge around the house with sweats all day. Ate chips, cookies, everything in plain sight. Even things that didn’t sound right. My regular clothes wouldn’t fir anymore. When clothes don’t fit, I change that habit.0

'All we've ever wanted, is to look good naked, so that someone would take it'.
Why losing weight? I saw some pics of myself and they weren't any flattering. Also, I didn't eat good, so I decided that had to change too. Now I live a life much healthier!0 -
I felt uncomfortable in my own skin.0

Well, let's see. I suppose it was all the fat.0

Many reasons... mostly how I felt about myself. I was depressed. I felt like a failure. I had pain in my joints back and developed planters fascitous(so) in both feet. Couldn't fit my big butt in a lot of chairs..movies roller coasters... I didn't want my son to see me that way any longer. I couldn't do much without getting winded.0

I wanted to see the whole thing!!!...you know what i mean.0

Saw a picture I was tagged in on facebook...I was delusional about what I thought I looked like.0
-
I was tired of hating the way I looked and feeling down about myself.0
-
I could no longer stand to look at myself in the mirror - or how my clothes no longer "fit" me!!! My reflection was not "me" and I had to come to grips with the fact that the only person who could change that is ME!!!0
